Captured Memory Lane...

I love doing photography. And, while I don't claim to be the best there is, it is a passion of mine and I don't think I stink at it. I would love to have the opportunity to do more photography and capture more special moments in people's lives. Today, with this thought in mind, I took a trip down memory lane...

Weddings are both easy and hard to shoot.
But they're worth all of the work - and there is no occasion more special.

I, honestly, haven't worked with babies much at all in life...But Elia is such a precious, beautiful baby - and I was excited to get to have some fun with her one afternoon.

I helped with Bethany and Jeremy's engagement pictures...and we shot these over a year later. I think that these newlywed photos turned out better than the original engagement pictures,
and this was one of my favorite shoots.

Jessica surprised Hank with a graduation photo shoot, and I was very happy to help make it possible. They share my love for Campbell, and I tried to let the pictures show that.

Kayla is one of my student ambassadors that I got to pamper and make feel like a star one winter afternoon. I think that pictures should make the subjects feel like a star.

Hank and Jessica: Campbell University - Class of 2011

Yesterday evening I had the privilege of photographing Jessica Bullock and Hank Raper. Hank and Jessica have made the most of their time at Campbell and are excited to be moving on to the next step in their future. They're great friends and were a joy to work with.

Here's a preview of our photo shoot:

The Girl in the White Dress

Today I just want to brag on my wonderful fiance. He is so talented and has an eye for good photography and video. I love watching him work and working with him.

On Monday, we decided to do a little mini-photo shoot - with no specific purpose in mind. Here are just a few of the amazing photos he captured:

Photo. Shoot.

This past Wednesday I had the pleasure of spending an hour getting some great shots of one of my students. Kayla was a blast to work with - because I could experiment and be ridiculous, and she was willing to experiment with me. The photos turned out well - and every little bit helps me learn. I think it's important for everyone to feel like a star for a few hours -expressing their beauty through photos that capture a little of their personality.

The Taylor photo shoot today was fun. I wanted to do a lot of different shots - normal, creative, artsy... The weather was frigid, and I believe we all lost feeling in our limbs, but things went really well. They were a joy to work with - and Jeremy was a good sport. The shoot taught me a lot, and I hope to continue to improve. I loved looking through the pictures because it captured the story that is Jeremy and Bethany.

Photography!

Memories. Captured.

Derrick and I are starting to be more serious about photography - which has been a passion of ours for a while now. I believe we each have different gifts and talents in this area, but we both enjoy taking pictures, editing pictures, capturing a moment. Please feel free to contact us if you're interested in a photo session!

I'm excited to have a few photo shoots this week! I'll keep you posted.
